Johara is Vice European Freestyle Champion
The final event of the Kitesurf Tour Europe was held last week in Swinoujscie, Poland. It is the first year that the KTE has run and it has proved to be a fabulous intermediary between National and World Tour competitions. The atmosphere at the events is just fabulous with a total sense of fun and love for kitesurfing. Laird Hamilton Joins Sir Richard!
Global watersports icon and celebrity Laird Hamilton has been confirmed as a Flexifoil rider for the upcoming Virgin Active channel crossing by Sir Richard Branson in celebration of his 60th birthday last month. Success at German Nationals!
Congratulations to Christian Winkenjohann who has done Flexifoil proud in Germany, freestyling his way to 6th in the National competition! Christian has this to say about the event…. This years german championships had 3 tourstops across the North of the country. It started in May, where I got 4th in Dahme in really gusty and offshore conditions. Richard Branson Is Crossing the Channel!
In celebration of his 60th Birthday, Sir Richard Branson has today announced that he will be kitesurfing the English channel along with his friends and family with the support of Virgin Active and Flexifoil. Richard, never one to shy away from a challenge has thrown down the gauntlet to the big six zero by setting himself up to become the oldest person to kitesurf the English Channel, from Dungeness to the French coast. Flexifoil Boss in Morocco
“The wind forecast for the week looked perfect. Monday, Thursday and Friday were spot on and Tuesday and Wednesday were lighter than expected so I got the chance to fly our brand new Ion 10.5m, 8.5m and Proton 7.0m. The local people claim there is wind more than 300 days a year, so if you love kitesurfing, this is almost a ‘certain bet’. Morocco PKRA
The latest PKRA event for 2010 held in Essaouira, Morocco, was blessed with heaps of wind and just enough waves. The event had both freestyle and wave disciplines held on Essaouira main beach and nearby wave spot Moulay. Forest Bakker had a fantastic run in the freestyle, fighting is way up in the super gusty difficult conditions on his 7m AH Pro to 9th place with a close heat against Seb Garat.
