Official update on the Virgin channel crossing:
Due to logistical and timing complications, as well as imperfect wind conditions, the decision has been taken to postpone the Virgin channel crossing’s 3rd attempt until further notice.
There is still strong intention by Sir Richard, his family, Flexifoil and Virgin Active to complete the channel crossing and undertake the record breaking challenge once more. Keep watching this space for further developments!

Team rider Forrest Baker is launching a full series of epic videos filmed all across the world on his next run of kiting trips.. Follow Forrest to the PKRA’s, French Championships and get to know our young superstar!
Cambourne Youth Festival has been going for a few years now and one of the main organisers of the event, David Mcewan Cox, has requested Flexifoil’s presence to demostrate powerkiting and give out tasters to the crowds who attend. Unfortunately, as with many demos and events, the wind has often let us down and we have never been able to show Cambourne exactly what powerkiting is all about……until this year!
We arrived at the field with little hope of decent weather but David had assured us that this year would be windy. The crowds were already arriving in their hundreds as we set up our kites. This festival has so much to see and do from inflatable castles and sumo suits, climbing walls, bmx demos, dog shows, an amazing motorcyle demo all the way from Sweden, some fantastic live music, in fact you name it, its probably there! No sooner had we set our kites up and started buggying along the field, the queues starting forming to have a go. It was amazing to get so many people flying and we didn’t even get to stop for dinner! All in all we must have got through at least 200 people, ranging from 5 year olds up to pensioners.
The feedback was really good and it was so much fun to finally give people the buzz of powerkiting that so many of us love! David informed us that over 5,000 attended the festival through the day and you can be sure that Flexifoil will be there again next year with a bigger presence and more riders so hopefully even more people can get flying.
